Tolga Duran (b. 1985, Izmir, Turkey) earned a BSc in Chemistry from Selçuk University in 2007. He later earned his Master (with thesis) from the same school, this time from the Institute of Science and Technology.  In 2012, he began doing his PhD at Pamukkale University’s Institute of Science and Technology. He also holds a second MA in Micro-Enterprise from Istanbul Technical University (2018).
He began his career as Gitaş AŞ’s Production & Quality Control Manager in 2007. In 2010, he came to Mercan Kimya, where he’s worked as a production engineer (until 2012), a production manager (2012 - 2014), a factory manager (2014 – 2016), and now the company’s general vice manager (2016 – present). He is fluent in Turkish and English, married, and has two children.
