Labor of the Future: AUTOMATION

For years, we at Mercan Kimya have been investing in specific automation systems, and taking advantage of digitalism and innovation.

We began employing automated production systems in 2015, and we’ve been working hard to fine tune that ever since through various projects.  The more we manufacture in less time means more efficient us of our  energy and labour.  We also use our manpower more effectively and have created a healthier happier for our workers, free of occupational hazards. Our automation system allows  us to make more precise  measurements. That, in turn, helps us keeps costs to a minimum, and it boost our performance – thereby feeding our continuous improvement policy. It also provides us traceability throughout all stages of product – a must for both for our export and domestic market. Moreover, it allows us to manufacture trustworthy and sustainable quality.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

The business world is well aware that automating and roboticizing production makes for successful management practices.

We’ve been investing in digitalizing our HR, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Quality and RD, Supply Chain, and Production.

This has added value to what we do because we value human resources and we want to maximize productivity.

We know that using advanced digital technology is indispensable for  sustainable success (where we otherwise cannot settle for ERP Systems). We benefit from external sources and we encourage our team carry out projects that look to the future. The world is changing at the speed of light – economically, culturally, and technologically. In light of that, many careers are on the verge of going extinct. We feel the need to come up with a way to solve – or at least work around – this in the long term, especially when it comes to management.

We therefore aim to lead the way in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by exploiting advanced digital systems.

Kaizen (continuous improvement), alongside A3 are the keys to our success. Both teach us how to solve problems, and they’ve helpedus foster a permanent product provider Mercan culture.
We set on our journey in 2019  in 9 departments through 25 improvement projects. In 2020, we’ve completed 43 projects. This year, we hope to complete 48 improvement projects.
