Mercan Kimya was founded in 1977 by Gültekin Okay Salgar. In our manufacturing facility in Denizli, we develop and manufacture customized formulations tailored to the needs of diverse industries, primarily paraffin wax, paraffin emulsion, petroleum jelly, and liquid paraffin.

Our Milestones
Founded as a sole proprietorship by Gültekin Okay SALGAR and commenced paraffin wax production.
Incorporated as a joint-stock company under the title of Mercan Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
Dermokim Kimya was founded.
Cosmer Kimya was founded.
Rowax Global SRL commenced operations in Romania.
Through strategic acquisitions, Gos Deri, Teknoder, Dermokim, and Cosmer Kimya were fully integrated into our group.
Mercan Kimya became a registered R&D Center certified by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Admitted to the Turquality Brand Incentive Program, and 100% of Rowax Global shares were acquired.
Awarded the Investment Incentive Certificate for biocidal product manufacturing.
Company shares were publicly listed on Borsa Istanbul (BIST). (BIST:MERCN)
Obtained the official Biocidal Type 2 product license.
Acquired a 30% stake in Fevup Brands.
Acquired a 30% stake in Theca Packaging.
