About Microcrystalline Wax

Microcrystalline wax is a refined petroleum wax characterized by high molecular weight and branched hydrocarbon structures. Unlike standard paraffin waxes, its fine microcrystalline matrix makes it substantially more flexible, adhesive, and endowed with a higher melting point.

Key Features

 High Melting Point

Features a higher melting point than standard paraffin waxes (60-90°C), providing excellent thermal stability in high-temperature applications.

 High Adhesiveness

Preferred in coating and binder formulations owing to its superior tackiness and adhesive grip across a wide variety of substrate surfaces.

 Flexibility

Its branched hydrocarbon chain structure confers a non-brittle, pliable texture that delivers high resistance against cracking.

 Versatile Use

Versatile operational scope across cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, rubber, plastics, inks, and polishes.

Applications & Fields of Use

Used in cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical products, food barrier coatings, rubber and plastic compounding, printing inks, polishes, and specialty adhesive systems.
